Ravensbourne’s Relocation - Why?
- Cannot fulfil our mission in current location
- Current site is perceived to be remote from the industries we serve,
thus a major barrier to core strategic development objective
- Site limited by planning constraints (MOL)
- The College would find it difficult to finance
development on current site
- The building is functionally obsolete and
constrains academic developments
- The current site is poorly served by public
transport and could not support growth and expansion

Ravensbourne’s Requirements
- Growth and expansion has been determined as essential to survival
and to meet public policy objectives
- To contribute to national wealth creation through knowledge transfer
- To diversify our funding base and reduce reliance on funding
from the public purse.
